Last River LostThe Sacrifice of the Stanislaus |
|||
|
But then what? What happened to Mark Dubois in the three decades since? Or the other "friends of the river" who gave so much to save the Stanislaus -- and were so crushed when it was flooded. What does Col. O'Shei now think about those events? We will interview these people, men and women now at the end of their careers, and ask them to evaluate the river's hold on them back then, and its influence in their lives today. Thirty years after Mark’s heroic act, the battles to preserve natural resources are even more crucial, and the same arguments made then seem all the more urgent today. But let's realize a generation is passing too, one that tried to save the Earth before it became necessary. We hope LAST RIVER LOST will inspire another generation by telling this true story in a documentary that must be seen.
